Internships Hopeworks works with youth in two major areas, school and jobs. In our Literacy program we work to help youth increase their skills in literacy and math so that they can begin to take college level courses. Once in school we work with trainees to help them be successful at the college level. In the area of jobs, Hopeworks trainees can earn a job in our Web and GIS businesses, and that is often the first step. However trainees also have the opportunity to work as an intern with one of our internship partners. In the past Hopeworks trainees have worked for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, The Federal Courts, ARI (Automotive Resources International), and the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority.

Internships at Hopeworks work like this: Youth work approximately 20 hrs per week at the internship. At the same time, they are taking college classes and working and participating in Literacy and Formation at Hopeworks. Most internship last for 10 – 12 weeks and are paid positions.
